Mosque For All was a design workshop that I led with youth from my local mosque located in Los Angeles County. We learned about creating gender equitable mosque designs in North America through the process of making “Dream Mosque Collages.”
Questions About Women’s Prayer Space
In this is design workshop we emphasized the importance of our five senses when evaluating our experience in the women’s prayer section. What do we hear? What does the prayer carpet feel like under our feet? Then we created the dream environments and interiors for our mosque collages.
